"Testa Rossa", an evocative name in the history of Ferrari dating back to the late 1950s. At that time the 250 Testa Rossa with red painted cylinder heads becomes a legend of the circuits. 

Thirty years later, Ferrari will give birth to another legend that will unleash the passions. Presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1984, the beauty is low and very wide and its line is as fluid as it is aggressive.

It contains a 12-cylinder V-180 engine, inherited from the 365 GT4 BB and 512 BB. It has an increased cylinder capacity of 4,942 cc, four valves per cylinder, an additional 50 horsepower over the 512BBi and a weight gain of 20 kg thanks to the use of Silumin, an alloy of 'aluminum.

Its name "Testarossa" is seen as a good omen and the market is going to make this car one of the biggest hits of the Maranello brand.

To refresh this powerful block of 390 horses, Pininfarina will imagine two air vents equipped with slats designed to channel the air to the engine, air intakes become a real visual signature.

It is unanimously hailed as the first car to allow its driver to go so fast so easily. The first versions are equipped with a unique sculptural rearview mirror and star wheels with central nut fixed to a Rudge hub.

They will adopt respectively two rear view mirrors placed lower in 1986, then five-bolt fixing wheels in 1987. With 7177 copies sold until 1991, the Testarossa is one of the biggest successes of Ferrari. A car monument.

Our car was delivered new on July 25, 1986 to its first Parisian owner by Etablissements Charles Pozzi. In its original "Rosso Corsa" livery with red carpets and black leather upholstery, it is in its classic configuration, which is still in demand.
